Icon Name Explanation
Concept There is a sustainable thought is behind this product, often this shows off in a smart or innovative solution to a problem.
Renewable material This product is manufactured from organic materials that can be re-created by growing them.
Recycled material In the manufacturing phase, the material comes from refused products which are re-used. In the disposal phase the product itself is reused.
Transport Transport from the factory to the consumer contributes to environmental burden. A reduction of size/weight can reduce this factor.
Material reduction In the manufacturing or transport of the product, a significant reduction in material is created. Often toxic materials are replaced.
Reduce fossile energy In the manufacturing or usage of this product, a reduction of energy usage (compared to products with similar function) is obtained.
Reduce water usage In the manufacturing or usage phase of this product, a way to reduce the use or to reduce spilling of water is taken into account.
